Scott is an author and founder of Rachel’s Challenge, an organization that focuses on creating a culture of kindness to combat bullying, based on the writings of his daughter Rachel, who died during the Columbine High School shooting in 1999. He has spoken to more than five million people in live settings around the world, not counting the millions he has spoken to through programs such as Oprah, Larry King Live, CNN, and the Today Show. He has authored or co-authored five books about his daughter’s life and her impact, and meets with politicians and educators regularly concerning issues of school violence.
